Iris Ellmann works hard at introducing modern German wines to British wine drinkers through her company The WineBarn. She’s holding a tasting on 17 jan at the German Information Centre in Belgrave Square (number 34 in the south western corner), London SW1 , 5.30-8pm (NB change of time – and address below).
Several leading producers will be there, as well as lots of wines from the exceptional (‘Ferrari’) 2003 vintage, including a number of organic wines and wines from many winners of awards from both Wine International and Decanter tastings. The WineBarn has imported wines from Berhcer, Heger, Franz Keller, Wirsching, Bassermann-Jordan, August Kesseler, Helmut Solter, Wittmann and Heyl zu Herrnsheim but promises some new additions at this tasting.
