The Grosse Gewächse from the Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) grape are another success story of the 2011 vintage. The most tangible proof of this assertion has to be that some of the hotly touted favourites such as Rebholz's Siebeldinger Im Sonnenschein and Dr Heger's vB were no longer available for the 'Grosse Gewächse on tour' tastings, and some of my favourites (see below), though shown in the recent presentations, are already sold out.
It fills me with great satisfaction to be able to report that the oak reserves of central France...
