It's January, and many a wine lover's thoughts are turning to the latest vintage of burgundy to be widely offered. This year it's the turn of 2011. Until recently, the flurry of January tastings of burgundy en primeur was of interest only to Brits but more and more foreigners are realising what great tasting opportunities are to be had in the intensive 10 days of merchants' presentations of the burgundies they are hoping to drum up orders for.
