Argentine wines are not as hot in the UK as they are in the US. The small band of importers, restaurateurs and promoters who are keenest to promote them to the British have to work very hard indeed.
But we do have one generic Argentine tasting a year, usually just after the Chilean one. The notes below were taken at a special tasting within the big generic one this year. Each producer was invited to submit a single wine and the result is below, in the order they were presented.
