‘Everything was flipped this year’, said Greg Jones of Abacela winery in southern Oregon when I called him to ask about harvest 2023. ‘It was warmer and drier than average everywhere in the Pacific Northwest and cooler and wetter than average everywhere in California. I couldn’t tell you the last time this happened.’
