How to put Portugal on the wine map?

This is the text of a speech I was asked to give to wine producers, promoters and commentators at the Encontro e Prova Internacional de Vinho in north-eastern Portugal last month.This video shows the historic village where we speakers were lodged. The picture here shows the rather less beautiful sports hall where the conference took place.
