Entries close tomorrow 31 mar 05 for the 2005 Geoffrey Roberts Award – a travel bursary for a potential achiever in the fields of food and/or drink. All you have to do is convince the eminent judges that you will spend the money wisely – anywhere in the world – so that you will not be the sole beneficiary of what you learn.
The Award, run by a London-based registered charity in memory of the pioneer importer of New World wines into the UK and on whose committee I sit, is now in its tenth year. Applicants may be of any age and come from anywhere in the world.
