Jadot has long been one of the most reliable names in Burgundy, one of the few negociants to have a reputation for quality, especially in reds, that goes back years and years and years, largely thanks to the effort put in by head winemaker Jacques Lardière. As one might expect, their range of 2002s is impressive, showing good distinction between different crus, the hallmark of this vintage. (I suspect that 2003s will express the characteristics of this exceptional vintage much more forcefully than they will express geographical distinction.) As usual, reds stand out more than whites.
