It's 15 years since I wrote the Organic Wine Guide (Thorsons, 1999), the first independently written guide to a wine category then considered niche at best, a potentially subversive irrelevance at worst (thanks for getting it commissioned go to Andrew Neather, then of environmental group Friends of the Earth and now – via a stint as speechwriter for Tony Blair – comment editor and wine critic for the London Evening Standard newspaper).
