More from Jean-Marc Quarin on Bordeaux 2003

Here's Bordelais Jean-Marc Quarin with an update on his previous eyewitness account of this year's grape harvest in Bordeaux.

In this second report, I thought of telling you first about the Médoc wines. But the important climatic changes which have taken place since 15 September oblige me to let you know first of all about their effects on the wines of Saint-Emilion and Sauternes.

Reminder:

  • Pomerol finished the harvest before 12 September
  • The Médoc only started harvesting between Monday, 15 September and Thursday, 18 September
  • Saint-Emilion started during the first week of September, but today some properties are still harvesting...
