Natural cork sales better than ever

I’ve just received the latest bulletin from Amorim, the world’s dominant producer of natural corks. The thing they really want us to know is that “Amorim’s global sales continue to increase year on year, both in volume and value terms, despite comments that alternative closures are causing cork sales to fall..”
Could this perchance be the same Amorim that has played such a large part in generating campaigns by both the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the World Wildlife Fund warning us that precious natural habitats in southern Portugal are already dangerously threatened by our perfidious...
