New, lighter sparkling wine bottle

It’s a sign of the times that a wine bottler is making a song and dance about a new bottle that weighs 16% less than the one it is designed to replace. Congratulations though to Broadland Wineries, one of the UK’s biggest contract bottlers, and their glass suppliers A E Chapman, to have come up with a regular 75cl sparkling wine bottle that does the business and weighs only 400g rather than the previous model at 480g.
