It's not just Bordeaux that presents its latest vintage for assessment, although the Tuscans take a little more time about it. While I went off to taste 2009s in Bordeaux on behalf of Purple pagers, Walter Speller immersed himself in the recent presentations of 2008s and 2007s (with the odd 2006) in Tuscany for our benefit. Here is a guide to our coverage.
Brunello di Montalcino – 2005 v 2004
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano – 2007 v 2006
Moisturisers from Montepulciano
Chianti Classico – 2008 and Riserva 2007
Chianti Classico cuts back
