Yesterday in London I had the pleasure of tasting current examples of a substantial proportion of the Australian classics rated either Exceptional, Outstanding or Excellent in Langton’s Classification, Australia’s answer to the world-famous 1855 ranking of the top wines of the Médoc and Graves. I will of course be writing about these much-admired wines and the usefulness of this classification of antipodean collectibles (see Langton's Australian collectibles, published in October 2016).
