Paul Jaboulet Aîné rides again

Jaboulet’s new UK importer Liberty Wines held a fascinating tasting of the wines of this flagship Hermitage producer in London last week. Most of the wines were pairs, one from the 2005 vintage, which was the last to be picked and made by the Jaboulet family with Laurent Jaboulet in charge but was blended and aged by the new owners, and one from the 2006 vintage, generally very successful in the Rhône and under the complete control of the new owners, the Frey family as reported first here.
Laurent’s cousin Nicolas Jaboulet still works for the family firm...
