In the final instalment of Project Loire (see this guide to the other four articles), we take a quick look at two more jewels of the Loire. One sparkles, one glows.
This immersion in the wine region of the Loire has been a privilege and a pleasure. Perhaps, ironically, 2020 travel restrictions have allowed me to to taste more Loire wines across a wider range of styles, appellations and producers, and – best of all – take more time over it than I would have if I'd shoehorned some frenetic trip into five days of non-stop teeth-aching tasting.
