My fellow MW Christy Canterbury (pictured) has joined forces with Wizeo video chats and will be giving live video talks between now and 7 April on how wine is priced – a pet topic of mine – and wine industry jargon. She’ll also be answering viewers’ questions on wine and her 'experiences with interesting people', apparently – all done for charity.
The chosen cause is the Boomer Esiason Foundation, founded to raise money for research into the terrible condition cystic fibrosis by the ex-NFL player of the same name, whose son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Find out more about this very worthwhile cause here.
Visitors to JancisRobinson.com may use a special promotional code to access these video chats, and every time it is used, $1 is donated to the Boomer Esiason Foundation on your behalf.
To participate, and support research into this debilitating, life-shortening condition, go to Christy's campaign page and use the imaginative promotional code JANROB.
In addition, one donor will be picked at random to enjoy an 'exclusive one-to-one chat with Christy – another 15 minutes during which Christy and the winner speak directly to each other'.
