Responses to Winiarski

Both American David Schildknecht and Australian Dr Richard Smart have replied immediately to Winiarski on hang time and I’m delighted to be able to publish their erudite responses below. I would just add to a relatively tangential issue raised by Dr Schildknecht that I continue to be amused by the reference to any “debate” about Ch Pavie 2003. To my mind there has been remarkably little actual debate about it, but if this controversial wine has done anything it has served to highlight that tastes in wine do and should be allowed to differ.
