There is a rumour, and it's only a rumour, that wine may be withdrawn altogether from the new SIPPS provisions scheduled to come into operation in the UK in apr 06.
This rumour may well be being circulated by wine merchants jealous of Berry Bros' success in selling blue chip wines to potential 'investors' over the last few weeks, but today is probably not the day to sink a great deal of money into fine wine with a pension fund in mind.
