John Goodwin asked recently in your turn whether Clerico and Scavino's 2000 Barolos were wines to get excited about. Here are my tasting notes on them and some others tasted so far.
As you can see, I think their top wines are pretty exciting, but then they are a heck of a price. J&B are asking £385 a case in bond for Scavino's top Barolo 2000 and £520 for Clerico's! Best value for me in J&B's offer is Azelia's San Rocco at £330.
The 2000s seem to be very fruity and relatively gentle – almost unlike Barolo in some cases...
