I taste thousands of wines a year. Sometimes in their region of origin, sometimes at home, sometimes in restaurants and other people's houses, but often in and around London on the busy wine tasting circuit.
| go to many tastings put on by retailers and importers and don't often report in detail on importers' tastings because a) usually the wines are shown long before they are in commercial circulation and with no indication of where they will eventually be available and b) the overall quality is rarely consistently high.
