South of France – vintage 2005 so far

04 aug If you want to pick up a bargain taste of previous summers in the south of France, take a look at Leon Stolarski of Nottingham's summer bin end sale which continues until next Tuesday 09 aug. There are a couple of my previous recommendations there, one full bodied, characterful white Minervois and one seriously beefy red Roussillon both reduced from nearly £9 a bottle to £6.99.
It's far too early to predict the quality of the 2005 vintage in southern France of course, but purple pager Steve Dutton of Germany says, 'ere, you're down in the Languedoc...
