Just to provide some contrast to our many interesting competition entries, here is a very brief tasting article devoted to the single-vineyard 2017 Rieslings of Martin Tesch.
As he points out, over 150 different soil types and compositions can be found in the Nahe's 4,000 ha (9,890 acres) of vines. These bottling are an attempt to express five of them, and he sells one bottle of each, plus a bottle of his blended Riesling Unplugged, in a special presentation box of six with explanatory leaflet.
