We all know about vanity publishing, a wannabe author footing the printing bill themselves in order to see their work between hard covers. But how about vanity poetry reading?
Felix Dennis, millionaire publisher of such titles of Maxim, Stuff and The Week, profiled on 60 Minutes last November, recently gave up drugs which, according to today's Guardian, "left a large amount of time to be filled". Hence, Dennis the poet. But he wants to share this poetry, see, so tonight he starts a month-long tour of Britain, giving poetry readings. The first gig is at the rather posh In and Out...
