The whites of Collioure

Faithful readers may have noticed that every summer my rustication in the Languedoc is punctuated by a significant tasting organised by Graham Nutter of the Minervois wine estate Ch St Jacques d'Albas. He has a much better cellar than most inhabitants of the region and, thanks to him, we have variously compared the Meursaults of Coche-Dury and Comtes Lafon, and enjoyed some venerable Vouvrays, a vertical of Trimbach's Clos Ste Hune and another of Cos d'Estournel.
This year's subject was much closer to home, inspired by a visit to the pretty port of Collioure just down the Roussillon...
