Top sips in the Wonder Bar
The next time you're popping into Selfridge's on Oxford Street to pick up a Tiffany necklace or a Hermès handbag, you might also want to check out their wine by the glass. Their Wonder Bar is currently dispensing a rather regal range of wines available from Enomatic machines in pours of 25 ml, 125 ml or 175 ml.
This is something of a celebration because Selfridge's wine buyer Dawn Davies spearheaded the move to legalise these smaller wine measures, which finally became legal earlier this month. Which is as good a reason as any to splash out on a few sips of something special.
The highlights include:
Ch Pétrus 1995 Pomerol 25 ml = £52
Ch Lafite-Rothschild 2004 Pauillac 25 ml = £49
Ch Lynch Bages 1999 Pauillac 25 ml = £6.50
San Guido, Sassicaia 1999 Bolgheri Sassicaia 25 ml = £8.50
