Vinifilles

The Vinifilles describe themselves as 'a battalion of women, thumbing their noses in the face of adversity!' And yes, there is an air of defiance about the women who belong to this group. Formed in 2009, the group's purpose is 'to share know-how, develop a mutual support system between female winemakers in the Languedoc-Roussillon and to preserve the terroir and culture that we love'. Sud de France arranged for me to go to their pre-Vinisud rock-and-roll party and whatever else they intend to do, sitting back is clearly not on the agenda. You should have seen them on the dance...
