Those who watched the video interview with the new owner of Oddbins will know that a new broom has been swept very firmly though the wine range here – especially the French range. This selection is much better than that assembled by the old owners Castel and so promises well for the future of Oddbins, even if there are few cheap wines. The new regime is apparently turning its back on the dramatic reductions being offered by the supermarkets at the moment, many of them apparently using wine as a loss leader to entice customers away from their rivals...
