Chenin Blanc was walking out with Riesling. They had so much in common – they were often pretty dry, but could both be very sweet. Both could be really bubbly sometimes, although they were normally quite tranquil. They even shared a characteristic acerbity, which they thought was really refreshing, although some people found it a bit much.
