Several of you have asked about the long-touted new wine magazine The World of Fine Wine and now, at last, after a few production difficulties, it is out.
There is no doubt at all that it is serious. From an introductory editorial by Hugh Johnson (including his most glam photographic portrait to date), via a fascinating article on terroir and the garagistes by Andrew Jefford, to a fine endpiece by Michel Bettane pointing out that we wine commentators are now required to be investment analysts (which certainly struck a chord with me), TWOFW oozes intelligence and, as one...
