ABM – alternative reds in Argentina
Is there more to Argentine reds than Malbec? This collection shows there is, but that in the most part, producers have got their priorities right focusing on only one grape. There is nonetheless an eclectic collection of alternatives on offer, with some styles generally more successful than others.
Pinot Noir was the variety that most obviously failed to shine, while Cabernet Sauvignon was probably the most reliable.
