Our Italian week continues with this ragbag of Tuscan wines tasted reasonably recently in London, and might be read in conjunction with Richard’s account of a vertical of Solaia and Walter’s comprehensive report on Chianti Classico 2013s.
This handful of producers are listed alphabetically and the wines represent the full gamut of wine styles currently available from Tuscany: from the Sesti family’s thoroughly transparent and expressive Montalcino wines to those of the Caiarossa estate (pictured here) with its Bordeaux underpinnings and greater reliance on new oak and international varieties.
