The 2018 Barolo vintage has not been praised unanimously but I expect less-favourable opinions to be revised upwards soon, especially in the light of the already record-breaking heat and drought experienced by large parts of Italy as I write this. Although it is much too early to say anything meaningful about the 2022 vintage, I predict that growing demand for fresh, elegant Barolos will be the reason for 2018's reappraisal, even if few of them...
