Bordeaux 2009 – right-bank reds 10 years on

The right-bank wines did not in general show quite as gloriously as the left-bank ones at 10 years old. This was particularly true of the lesser St-Émilion and Pomerols on sandier, faster-draining soils – although most of the top wines, especially those with reasonable access to water in this particularly dry season, were pretty glorious.
