I've been intrigued by the wines of the Spanish Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco ever since tasting some made from unusual white wine grapes by Viñatigo many years ago. Immersion in a range of fascinating wines from Suertes del Marqués last April only increased my curiosity. Our week on Tenerife over the New Year (solid matter described by Nick in Northern Tenerife – restaurants with views) gave me a welcome chance to taste the 38 wines described below.
