New oddments from new Oddbins

Oddbins are gradually rehabilitating themselves on the unforgiving UK high street. It's a name that has been through all manner of fortunes now, most recently being bought by European Food Brokers after it previously failed under the steerage of Simon Baile. (See The new Oddbins also rises and follow the links back from there to RIP Oddbins in 2003.) He is the son of a former owner, who bought the chain in 2008 from Castel, who had themselves bought it from Seagram in 2002. Seagram bought it from Baile Sr.
It's a name that retains affection among the wine-buying public...
