Passive smoking under the stars

Twice in the last week I have unreservedly ventured into a pub to eat and drink a glass of wine, thanks to the July 1 ban on smoking in enclosed public spaces in England and Wales. I may still have reservations about the quality and range of wine on offer in British pubs but at least I know there’ll be no smoke in the air to spoil my food or infiltrate my hair and clothes.
Last night at last it was a warm, sunny, summery evening in London. After a long cycle in search of the Thames, why not...
