Provence provenance
Rosé is fast becoming a colour of choice no matter the month, apparently defying its traditional summertime association, but it didn't seem the sunniest prospect at a generic Provence tasting on a cold February afternoon in London, although to be fair there were some lovely pinks on show.
I bee-lined instead for the reds, which were a hotch-potch of styles and quality levels, but mostly all in the Rhône mould. There were a few whites too, but the vast majority were pink, a reflection of the 80% of production of the region. There are many different shades and styles of...
