Richard Hemming with a terrible pun and a foretaste of my collection of tasting notes on some very superior South African wines - including at least one stunning Sauvignon Blanc – JR.
Once upon a time, I publicly and vociferously declared my dislike of Sauvignon Blanc – especially the sweet, gloopy model made infamous by Marlborough in New Zealand. I called for viticultural genocide. I was taken to task for it in the pages of Decanter, no less, by our own Linda Murphy. But I took no prisoners. I stood my ground.
