A report from the Masters of Wine's annual look at four-year-old bordeaux.
Every November in Vintners' Hall, on the morning before the annual anointing of new MWs, the Institute of Masters of Wine, with the considerable co-operation of the top Bordeaux châteaux, puts on a tasting of the vintage four years before – a sort of Southwold tasting revisited but with fewer wines.
At the annual Southwold-on-Thames tasting we taste blind within appellation/group and this option is now also available at the IMW tasting, I'm delighted to say. Many thanks to those who arrange this.
