The very first tasting notes on the winning wines, which were revealed in Athens on Friday.
Last year I reviewed just over half of the winners in the 2022 competition at home in London but this year, as one of the seven judges (pictured above, hard at work in what would once have been a wine cellar in the monastery that has become Katikies Garden hotel, Santorini), I had the chance to taste all 50 winners immediately after the judging was over – but I’ve had to keep these notes under my hat until now.
