America's gain is South Africa's loss

The latest AC Nielsen market research figures show that the US is catching up France as second most important exporter of wine to the UK after Australia. Moving annual totals to early October showed a 16.3% share of the market recorded by AC Nielsen (made up primarily of the supermarkets and chains) while France’s share slipped to 17.5%.
