“Vintage 2006: August was particularly cold but also one of the three driest in the last 10 years. The vine stopped growing at the end of July to concentrate on ripening the fruit, which comforted me for having decided not to go away then because I could ensure perfect vine health by de-leafing both sides of the vine in time for them to benefit from the fine, warm weather at the beginning of September.
