24 March Sherry Night on 23 April is now also SOLD OUT. If you would like to go on the waiting list or if you have tickets but now find you are unable to use them, do please contact Richard

21 February Brunello Night on 5 March is now SOLD OUT, and sales of tickets for Sherry Night are brisk. Hurry, hurry, hurry!

7 February As promised, tickets for these two exceptional events go on general sale today. See below for details.

This year we are reviving Brunello Night now that Walter has scooped the pool by already tasting the 2012 vintage, which has been given the Consorzio's top, five-star rating. See Walter's recent detailed tasting report on Brunello 2012. According to Walter, the 2012 vintage is not quite as consistent as the 2010 Brunello vintage so you may well find it useful to taste up to 40 examples Walter has hand-picked for your delectation.

To get an idea of the event, you can read about our popular earlier Brunello Night devoted to the 2010 vintage here. Walter and Jancis also hosted a similar event at Eataly, New York, in October 2015.

In addition, we are delighted to announce our first-ever Sherry Night. At JancisRobinson.com we hold tasting events not to make money (we donate any profits to a charity of our choice), but to shine a light on truly fine wines we think deserve more attention. No candidate is worthier than sherry. Sherry Night is particularly good value at just £70 a ticket, not least because the average bottle price of the sherries being tasted will be approximately £50 per 75 cl. We hope you are keen to join us in supporting this oft-overlooked gem of the wine world. Julia is flying out to Jerez to select the finest en rama bottlings of the season, fresh off the bottling line, in addition to a wide range of other styles of top-quality sherry.

If you cannot attend once having bought a ticket, we would ask you to find an alternative attendee. Although it is always worth emailing richard@jancisrobinson.com to see whether there is a waiting list.

Both events will take place at our regular home for tastings, the inimitable Caravan King's Cross, and will be attended by Jancis and other members of the team. A selection of superior finger food will be served, and you can see pictures of our most recent event (our fourth Barolo Night held in November 2016) here
