On holidays I ignore wine, if you discount packing a suitcase full of wine books to get through, at leisure of course, during the week or so that follows. As last year, I spent my holidays in Campania’s Cilento, a nature reserve about an hour south of Naples with beautiful, lush mountains and a spectacular, emerald coastline. As an extra bonus there are surprisingly few vineyards there to tempt me. But even if I am not looking for wine, wine is looking for me.
