Last time I reported on the wine selection at British supermarket Sainsbury's (referred to recently in a New York Times profile of their poster boy Jamie Oliver as 'somewhat upmarket'), I was pretty unimpressed – see Dreary Sainsbury's.
But the selection shown earlier this month was perceptibly better, I thought, even though there is only one wine, a dry sherry from Lustau, among this collection of 97 to which I gave a score of 17, and only four to which I awarded 16.5.
