Tim is competing in the Henley Royal Regatta at 6.30 tonight. We wish him well as part of the London Rowing Club B team against Münchener Ruder-Club von 1880. He promises, 'It will be entertaining, if nothing else!'

Fields, Morris & Verdin is the importing arm of UK wine-trade stalwarts Berry Bros & Rudd. In early May they put on a trade tasting in London focusing solely on their Italian portfolio. I went along and tasted over 60 of the 100-odd wines on show. A couple of weeks later, Berry Bros showed a handful more Italians, which are incorporated here...
