As usual in the annual Southwold blind Bordeaux tasting, Friday morning was devoted to white wines, dry followed by sweet. I was looking forward to the dry whites, which looked pretty appetising when tasted in April 2011. Their freshness was a refreshing change from the richness of the 2009 dry whites, and certainly the best of these wines should make at least middle-aged bones (whereas I would be drinking or have drunk most 2009 dry whites by now).
