Jancis writes: The Iberian peninsula has such a lot to offer us, including hundreds of delightfully keenly priced bargains of all colours. There is a massive difference between wines made in the west with strong Atlantic influence and those made in the Mediterranean-influenced east – with many a wine in between imbued with real excitement thanks to the elevation of the vineyards. In a way a more wine-minded way of dividing these roughly 100 tasting notes would be to include all the Spanish wines made in the far north-west...
