Most of the many producers whose wines are described in our nearly 30,000 burgundy tasting notes I visit every autumn and have done for many years. But there is one producer I have managed to visit only twice ever to taste out of barrel – because when I enquire about a visit the owner is generally absent when I’m in Burgundy.
